UK Website Design - Search Engine Optimization - Page 3

How Search Engines Work. When a website is submitted to a search engine, they send out their little robots to scan the website page by page. It then indexes them by storing copies of your pages in its multi-billion-page database. The search engine will then re-visit your site every 6-8 weeks to check for changes. The engine will then update the page it has stored.
When Will The Search Engine Visit My Website
Once your site is submitted (which we offer free with all website design packages) it can take a few weeks before they actively crawl through your site (usually 8-12 weeks) due to the billions of web pages in existence on the Internet. The search engine will need to have visited your website and stored it in its database before you will be recognized and presented in a search. To get good rankings on a search engine is not an over-night process. It can take months before you achieve decent rankings, even longer to get high rankings, but when you do, its worth it.
If you plan to promote your site yourself, using your present advertising campaigns, then an eloquent, complex site is for you. If you wish to use the free publicity tool and gain the visitors like Google Yahoo and MSN has to offer you, then a straight forward search engine optimized, plain .html website is for you (as the very site you are looking at is was created in plain html)
With clever styling and graphic design, your site will certainly stand out. Either way you choose, by having your website designed with Media Design Studio will ensure your sites pages are fast loading, optimized and relevant, we will ensure that all your information will be clearly presented in an easy-to-read fashion.
